Menu and submenus

Submenu information

For information, we have only 3% click on the corporate menu from the Store locator. A store locator user is looking for information about shop and not product or brand information in most cases.

For SEO questions we strongly advise against a menu with a strong internal linkage.

Experience has shown that this is very detrimental to the referencing of the Store Locator.

Deletion of sub-menus and linked scripts

In order to integrate as well as possible this light menu, it will be necessary to provide us with a menu with the links in absolute redirecting towards your main headings, to isolate the possible animations of the menu of rank 1 (hover) and make them compatible with our jQuery JavaScript library. (version Bridge V2 : 1.11.3; version Bridge V3 : 3.2.1). 

The V4 version of our starter kit no longer includes the jQuery JavaScript library but only native JavaScript to guarantee better performances.

Add your Submenus and linked scripts

As for the menu, it will be necessary to isolate the behavior of the sub-menus and make them compatible with our jQuery JavaScript library. (version Bridge V2 : 1.11.3; version Bridge V3 : 3.2.1), in case you use a jQuery library.

The V4 version of our starter kit does not embed the jQuery JavaScript library anymore but only native JavaScript to guarantee better performances.

The store locator priority is to be referenced by search engines on the content created by us SEO teams. Our BRIDGE solution is entirely hierarchical in this perspective, so as to avoid interfering with our optimization. We ask you to don’t include tag H* (H1, H2, H3, H4 ..) in your HTML code

Images of your Header Footer

Storage of your files with BRIDGE

We store images linked to your header and footer on our servers for optimize access and the loading. We store also your images in local so as to anticipate every URL change, images size etc… which could cause by a display error.

To do so, think of providing us all these images in the Header/Footer sources. Remember also to reference them in your sources via relative and not absolute URLs (e.g. in CSS: "background: url(/images/bg.png);").

The scripts

JQUERY and BOOTSTRAP version 

For information, we change the jQuery JavaScript libraries (Bridge V2 : 1.11.3 version; Bridge V3 : 3.2.1 version) and Bootstrap (Bridge V2 : 3.3.4 version; Bridge V3 : bootstrap-sass 3.3.7 version) In order to avoid conflicts, we ask you to remove these calls in your code and adapt your module.

V4 version of our starter kit no longer takes the JavaScript jQuery and Bootstrap library but only JavaScript and CSS native code to ensure better performance.

Scripts Management

To best integrate your scripts and animations, we want them to be separated into modules with :

• The js code with the calls to the DOM elements.
• The calls to the associated libraries necessary for the operation. You can use online tools to make them autonomous like http://codepen.io/ or http://jsfiddle.net/

Specific elements

The cart

We don't manage the display of the number of products in the e-commerce cart. It will therefore have to be deleted.

As the user cart is an element specific to the brand's site, it isn't possible to include it in the Store Locator's header. The only possible action is the display of a redirecting link on the user's shopping cart page.

The search bar

We only handle simple and standard HTML forms in GET or POST. The form is directly submitted to the result page of the company's website (the user is therefore redirected to the corporate's website).

Authentication

We will make a redirection link to the authentication page of your corporate site.
