Automatic geolocation
- Via the point of sale form
Automatic geolocation is based on Google's geolocation algorithm.
This allows you to obtain from the address of the point of sale (street and street number), the geographical coordinates of the point of sale (latitude and longitude).
- Via the import process
If the imported points of sale do not have latitude/longitude, they are automatically geolocated by Google's algorithm.
Manual geolocation
- Via the point of sale form
By entering a latitude and longitude in the Geolocation section and choosing the "Manual" option.
- Via the import
As soon as the points of sale are imported with latitude and longitude, the geolocation of the point of sale is based on them. The points of sale are then placed in "manual geolocation" mode.
Change the geolocation mode in BRIDGE
- Via the point of sale form
In the Geolocation section, it is possible to switch from the Manual Geolocation option to Automatic and vice versa.
- Via the import
It is not currently possible to switch from manual to automatic geolocation via import.
On the other hand, by entering latitudes/longitudes via import, it is possible to switch from automatic geolocation to manual geolocation.
The meaning of geolocation qualities in the export of points of sale (Beta mode)
The quality of geolocation of points of sale is returned by Google. This allows you to get an overview of the coordinates initially entered for each of them.
The geolocation qualities are as follows :
"ROOFTOP" indicates that the returned result is a precise position for which we have precise location information up to the exact street address.
"RANGE_INTERPOLATED" indicates that the returned result reflects an approximation (usually on a road) between two specific points (such as intersections).
"GEOMETRIC_CENTER" indicates that the returned result is the geometric center of a result such as a street for example.
"APPROXIMATE" indicates that the returned result is approximate.
"ERROR" indicates that the address entered does not provide geocoding.
Note: This feature is currently in Beta, the quality of the geolocation is not updated when the store coordinates are changed.
